LVR (Loan-to-Value Ratio) - NZ Property Glossary

The percentage of the property's value that you borrow. For example, if you buy a $500,000 home with a $100,000 deposit, your LVR is 80%. The Reserve Bank sets LVR restrictions that limit how much banks can lend at high LVRs.
